Saphari Buffet Restaurant
KMC Food Group recently went through a complete re-branding and full refurbishment of their buffet restaurant Saphari based in the heart of the West Midlands. The restaurant has been open for almost 10 years, serving its customers different cuisines from around the world.
The interior of the restaurant was becoming dated and tired, so the designers were called in to give the restaurant a complete refresh. With over 120m2 of wall tiles and 500m2 of floor tiles across the whole restaurant, this was a project we were excited to get involved with.
The concept is interesting, the main setting being in a safari with areas of the restaurant dedicated to the different cuisines. The colour scheme is bright and bold, infusing textures and styles resembling natural characteristics. The tiles supplied not only had to meet the design brief, but they needed to be practical for the setting that they were being installed.
The main area that needed tiling was the restaurant floor, the centre space for all of the other features to come together. Our Camile range was selected for this area – an enduring choice with a lasting effect. Camile offers singularly detailed surfaces and the practicality of high-grade porcelain stoneware. The unique and natural colour pallete that this range offers allows it to be adaptable to be used with other colours. Installed in the anti-slip finish, which is safe in both wet areas and where there is a high traffic of people.
The design brief also included a number of feature tiles that had played their own part in the design of the restaurant. Each range was selected not only to compliment the area it was installed but to make a statement and create the wow factor. The textures installed ranged from wood effect – creating the natural effect to arabesque style adding luxury and elegance.
Each element of the design once completed has created an exciting and enjoyable dining ambience. The interior is fun, welcoming and luxurious!
We believe that it is essential to meet with clients to understand the vision they have for their project and to offer solutions and advice. Our contracts manager worked very closely with both the client and architect, visiting the site before, during and after the renovation to ensure that the design brief was brought to life and the products selected from our portfolio exceeded the expectations.
